I was at the vet today - my puppy has been having a big problem with his foot and I needed to cut his nails and he ABSOLUTELY. WASN'T. HAVING. IT. You look confused- dog? fish? what? Give me a minute - I was talking to the gal at the counter, trying to get prices for the procedure, because, and I quote ".....the last time I was here I spent $700 and it was just so stinkin' much!"
If you had seen the look on her face - she was so confused! She asked if I was sure it was here, and I, loudly, (you know how I get when I'm excited) said "of course! You guys x-rayed him and blah blah blah.....". She turned the screen toward me and showed me the last visit. It was $501.00 Holy. Cow. I had gotten myself so worked up over the bill that it kept getting bigger at each telling. (sigh) I'm really good at telling myself stories, can you relate? Stories that sometimes stop me from doing things - making those things bigger, harder, scarier. Stories that seem real, but aren't, and today was a great reminder to look into something that you know to be absolutely true, that TRUTH that might be stopping you in some way, and ask yourself..... "Is this true, or is this a fish story?" It's always good when you catch it before it bites you in the butt ;) Sending big thanks to the person that invented quotation marks (I've used up my quota for the year in this email) and here's a big burst of energy just cause you're you! ;)
Enjoy the weather and your furry friends - what could be better?!
