Hello Lovey - Things have been busy here, in the best way possible, so I'm sending you a quick update since I get to go to breakfast with a beloved friend who has just returned from her latest adventure living abroad! Last night I was so excited to see her that I kept waking up so I wouldn't oversleep, and no, I never set an electric alarm....I have the best alarm in my head. Nashville (my sweetheart and new roommate) can't really wrap his head around it, or my penchant for feeling in to time.... He is always amazed that I wake up 5 minutes before his alarm rings and is amused at my latest experiment with time. Oh, have mercy, this was supposed to be short, but I feel your curiosity - let me try to explain. So, time isn't linear, according to Quantum Physics. The fast and dirty idea is that all time happens right now, it's circular, you are sitting in the middle of it, you are 5 years old and 25 years old and 95 years old all at the same time and your consciousness is what places you in the NOW that you choose to experience NOW......did I get too Woo Woo for you? Look it up, It's science (she said in her best mom voice). So anyway, my experiment is to feel the clock time without any reference except my gut. The Angel Guide that I work with, Big Blue, (he has quite a sense of humor about himself) said that it's the first step to freeing yourself from the confines of linear time (start right where you are, right?) and, funny enough, it also gives me a perspective on whether I am firmly in the here and now......try it! Amuse your friends and loved ones! Here is the key, don't try too hard. Don't think too hard, feel into it. It's fun...........that should be the best reason to do it! Remember INTENT BEATS TECHNIQUE Oh, and about setting the alarm in your head? This is how you do it: right as you are drifting to sleep, SEE your alarm that you usually set in your mind's eye. SEE the time that you want to wake up and SAY to yourself that you are speaking to the part of your brain that knows how to wake up perfectly rested and energized, and tell it to wake you up 5 minutes before the time you showed it on your alarm clock and then, this is the hardest part, TRUST. I recommend practicing this technique when you have an easy morning with no special time that you have to wake up.......let me know how it goes, what your progress is and if you get stuck, we can figure it out - I've been doing this technique for years. :) Can't finish this love note without letting you know about the class I taught last night. I haven't taught this particular class in 5 years and it was just delicious! The people who attended were engaged and curious - some of the best questions and shares -I was so privileged to be their guide! Going over my notes and re-acquainting myself with the properties of the Chakras, well, what jumped out at me was a note that I had taken, underlined in RED about the Heart Chakra, the fourth Chakra, the Bridge between the 3 spiritual Chakras above and the 3 physical Chakras below......what it said was that the properties of a healthy Heart Chakra is a warm, delicious sense of humor about yourself and the world. Not a "laughing at" kind of humor but that yummy joy of sharing in an experience (and for the Heart Chakra it can be the good, the bad or the ugly, it is all laugh worthy).
There you have it......today's take away is fun, humor above all and let yourself consider that you might have more control over time than you thought ;) Oh, and how did I finally get back to sleep? Here is my favorite prescription: Warm Golden Milk (go ahead, click on the link, their pics are way better than mine and the recipe is right there)
Open your heart- see what your life looks like through the filter of that happy, loving energy!
