Miss me? I missed you. I've been absent for a couple of weeks growing a pearl....that's what my Mom used to call it. You know how a pearl is created? A piece of grit works it's way into an oyster or a clam, then, as a defense mechanism, that poor mollusk closes up tight and coats what's bugging it with layers upon layers of this coating, and that's what makes the yumminess that we call a pearl. That feels like magic to me -a true metamorphosis. At the core of the beauty of your life is a challenge solved.
So speaking of challenges, can we talk about August?! It was bumpy, my friend, all kinds of old stuff making a return appearance, and sorting through it, well, it took some inner work and outer quiet time to figure out what to keep and what to throw - gutting the storage space where my beliefs about myself and my world are stored. Just like the pearl, what is making my life yummy as I go forward is how I've transmuted what was bugging me. How I'm doing it is being brave enough to ask for the time that I need to put my inner house in order, journaling, sweating, mulling, breathing. Like John F. Kennedy said: "Change is the law of life".
What's the "pearl" you ask? Funny enough, I didn't grow one, I grew a whole necklace! Next week I'll send you 2 emails, which, as you know, I never do, but one of them is the schedule of things to come - events, classes and all-out tom foolery that you might be interested in. I promise I won't make a habit of it - your life and inbox is stuffed enough as it is.
Thank you for being on the other end of the line......even though I disappear occasionally, the deliciousness of our connection brings me back every time......
(You can't see me, but I'm holding up my mug of tea to toast your presence in my life)
